Flip won the Amateur Gun Dog stake at the Texas Gulf Coast Vizsla Club’s walking field trial and picked up a retrieving point.  Bobby took 2nd place in Amateur Limited Gun Dog and third place in Open Gun Dog.

 

Bobby earned 2 amateur retrieving points by getting 1st place in AGD at the GSPC of San Antonio walking field trial.

 

Harper won 2 pts at the Greater Humble Area KC show and picked up another one at the Travis County KC show in Austin.  That gives her 8 pts. towards her Show Championship.

 

Betsy dug under the fence and escaped the back yard.  As of  Sept. 16, which happens to be Mark’s birthday, she’s been gone 24 hours.  We are devastated!

 

Flip has FINALLY come in season.  It was almost a year since she was last in.  This means Bobby is banished to “Uncle Pete’s home for wayward Shorthairs“ (Pete Thuman’s Pecan Hill Kennel).

 

Harper won a 5 pt. major at the Reliant World Series of Dog Shows (Houston KC)  on July 20, 2012 at six months and 13 days old.

 

Betsy earned a 4 pt. major on March 18th at the Galveston County KC show.

 

Betsy got her fourth and fifth show points in San Antonio on March 9th and March 11th at the “Best Little Cluster in Texas”.

 

Betsy got her third show point at the Ft. Bend KC show on Sunday, January 22.

 

Betsy earned her second show point out of the 6-9 month puppy class at the Trinity Valley KC show on December 11.

 

Betsy picked up her first show point on November 20 at the Town & Country KC.  She was barely six months old.

 

Mark has decided to keep a female puppy out of our Flip & Bobby litter.  Her call name will be Betsy.

 

After picking up three single points at the Oklahoma City shows, Bobby finished his show championship by going Winners Dog for two points on the first day of the Dallas cluster—July 8, 2011.

 

We received word from OFA that Bobby’s hips are “excellent.”

 

Bobby won a second major (this time a four point one) at the Colorado Springs KC show on June 12.

 

Bobby won a major at the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Colorado specialty on Friday afternoon, June 10.

 

Flip gave birth to five girls and one boy on May 7.  Mother and babies are all going well.

 

Flip had an ultrasound today and it confirmed that she is pregnant.  The father is Up N’ Adam’s Madrone London Cop and the litter is expected around May 6.

 

Bobby won BOW and took a point at the Brazos Valley KC show on April 2.

 

The weekend of March 20-21 was a good one for Jackson Howard.  He qualified Ring and Riot both days at the Lone Star GSP hunt tests’ giving Ring her fourth and fifth qualifying scores at the Senior level and earning Riot’s Junior Hunter title.

 

The Grayshon family has a new French Bulldog puppy.

 

I started “force breaking” Flip today (December 26) for the retrieve.  Mark wanted me to wait until she was almost broke so she wouldn’t be too stressed out with the new training.  The way she clamps her mouth shut instead of taking the dumbbell, I have a feeling I’m going to be the one who’s stressed out!

 

Ring and Jackson Howard (age 10) entered the Texas Gulf Coast Vizsla Club hunt test on December 12 and scored an average of 9.5 in Junior.  The plan is to enter her in Senior the next time and see  if the duo can sail through the advanced classes.

 

Flip earned three V-1 ratings and three UCICB cards (Certificates of beauty) at the International shows sponsored by Alle Rasse Grupe to become an International Champion on November 7th.

 

We have received word from AKC that we are officially a “Breeder of Merit” and received a banner for our website.

 

We received Flip’s CERF Certification in the maiil on Sep. 27.   It states “no inherited eye disease was found.”

 

Labor Day Weekend:  All of the puppies from our “Surprise Litter” have gone to their new homes. 

 

We have received Flip’s OFA rating in the mail.  Her elbows are normal and her hips are OFA EXCELLENT!

 

Flip finished her Show Championship in style by winning a 5 point major and Best of Winners from the Open Bitch class at the Galveston County KC show on July 25 at the Reliant World Series of Dog Shows.

 

Unfortunately,  we lost our last born male puppy when he was two days old, but we still have two boys and two girls who are doing great and getting fat.

 

Dizzy gave birth to a litter of five puppies on July 13, 2010.  Mother and babies are doing well.

 

We received word on July 1st  that Dizzy is pregnant and is expecting puppies very soon.  The father is Up N’Adam’s Madrone London Cop “Bobby”.  Even though this is an unplanned breeding, the pedigrees of the two dogs are awesome together and we are looking forward to having some very nice puppies.

 

Flip got a 3 pt. major on May 2nd at the Beaumont KC show.

 

Flip won WB at the Baytown KC show for 2 points on April 30.

 

Chime (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH MX MXJ) finished her show championship on April 10th at the Saginaw Valley KC show in Birch Run, MI by winning a 3 pt. major!  Closer to home, Flip won another point at the San Jacinto KC show the same day by going WB, BOS to single her out.  Now, she only needs her majors to finish.

 

Flip won WB on April 4th at the Brazos Valley KC show for another point toward her show championship.

 

Flip won WB at the Galveston County show on March 21 for two points.

 

It was a white ribbon weekend for the Madrone GSPs at the Texas Gulf Coast Vizsla Club’s trial March 13th & 14th.  Ring got 4th in Open Gun Dog and Bobby got 4th in Open Puppy and Open Derby.

 

Bobby won the Amateur Walking Puppy stake for his second amateur field trial point and got 2nd place in Open Puppy at the Texas Panhandle Pointing Breed Club’s field trial February 19-21.

 

Flip won 1st place and Riot won 2nd place in Amateur Walking Derby at the GSPC of San Antonio field trial on January 30.  Bobby won 1st place in Amateur Walking Puppy at the same trial and is now eligible to compete for the Gulf Coast GSP club’s Dual Dog of the Year award for 2010.

 

Flip and Bobby both picked up a point towards their show championships at the Ft. Bend KC show on January 23 and Flip won a second point January 24.   Since Flip already has her Derby points, the show points make her eligible to compete for the Gulf Coast GSPC’s Dual Dog of the Year award for 2010.

 

Flip won the Open Derby stake at the Gulf Coast GSPC walking field trial on January 10 to earn two points toward her field championship.  Her mother, Ring, placed 3rd in Open Gun Dog.

 

Flip (DC AFC Gamble’s Odyssey Fritz MH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH MX MXJ) won 2nd place in Open Derby at the

GSP Club of San Antonio on December 5.

 

Unfortunately,  Zeke (CH Madrone Cutthroat Competitor MH) suffered a stroke and had to be put down on November 30.  Zeke would have been 16 years old in two months.

Dizzy (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH MX MXJ) won 4th place in Amateur Gun Dog at the San Antonio Weimaraner Club field trial on November 1st.

 

Ringo (DC AFC Gamble’s Odyssey Fritz MH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH MX MXJ) finished his Junior Hunter title at the Gulf Coast GSPC hunt test on October 17.

 

Halo (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH MX MXJ) finished her AKC Championship at the Tyler KC show on October 10.  She is now officially Internat’l/UKC/AKC CH Madrone Heavenly Halo CD!

 

Ring placed third in Open Limited Gun Dog at the Ozark GSPC field trial on October 2nd.

Bobby arrived by Continental Airlines on July 11 from his breeder, Katie Tazza, in Connecticut .

Flip won Winners Bitch at the Baytown KC show on April 25th for 2 points.  She also won Best Puppy in her breed.

 

We received the OFA results on Joy April 13th.  Her Hips are OFA Excellent and her elbows are normal.

Halo (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH AX MXJ) is now officially Int’l/UKC CH Madrone Heavenly Halo CD.  She finished her Companion Dog title on December 13th at the Capitol Dog Training Club of Austin  in Hutto, TX by placing 3rd in her class.  Halo earned her title in three straight trials and placed in two of them.

at the hunt test in Highland, Michigan on October 5th.

 

 Ring gave birth to 10 puppies (6 girls and 4 boys) on May 30.  The father is DC/AFC 3 x NSTRA CH Gamble’s Odyssey Fritz MH RD VCX NAVHDA Utility Prize II. 

 

Ring had an ultrasound on April 27th and she’s definitely pregnant.  The vet found at least six puppies (which means there’s probably more).  Her due date is around June 1st.

 

Chime  (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH AX MXJ) won WB at the Saginaw Valley Kennel Club show for two points.  Chime only needs a major to finish her championship.

Optigen Laboratory has informed us that Dizzy’s CD (cone degeneration) test is normal.  That means she does not carry the gene for CD and can never produce a puppy affected by it.

 

Ring placed 4th in Open Gun Dog in a 5 point major (26 dogs) at the Bluebonnet Brittany Trial in Brownwood, TX on February 23rd.

Dizzy won WB and 1 pt. in Belton, TX at the Fun-tier KC show on October 21st.

Whole Foods has announced that the cover dog you see on the package of their new holistic dog food will be none other than Madrone Heavenly Halo (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH AX AXJ).  Halo’s picture won over hundreds of pictures submitted to Whole Foods and will be on their shelves nationwide when the dog food is introduced in November or December.

 

Madrone Commontion In Motion RD “Chime” (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH AX AXJ) earned her RDX at the Southern Michigan Weimaraner Club’s annual water test on July 29.

 

Ring qualified in 20” Excellent B Standard at the Austin Golden Retriever Club trial in Hutto, TX on July 29 for her 7th MX leg.  She was almost 10 seconds under time and gained 9 points toward her MACH. 

 

Madrone Celestial Knight “Knight” (DC Lieblinghs Odyssey Air Jordan JH x CH AFC Madrone Southwind Chime MH AX AXJ) finished his Show Championship at the Houston Kennel Club show on July 19th.

 

Ring qualified in 20” Excellent B Standard at the Houston Kennel Club show on July, 19th for her sixth MX leg  and another 5 points towards her MACH.

 

Czar crossed over the rainbow bridge on July 7.  We will miss him terribly.

 

Ring qualified in Excellent Standard B at the Collie Club of Austin agility trial in Hutto, TX on June 17 for the fifth leg of her MX title.  She also received 5 points towards her MACH.

 

We received news from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals that Dizzy is OFA Excellent!  Her elbows were also evaluated and were rated Normal.

 

Ring had an ultrasound on April 30 and, unfortunately, she’s not pregnant.
